CCNA Routing & Switching Technologies

CCNA Routing and Switching Technologies is designed to help learners prepare for Cisco certification exams, including 200-120 CCNA, 100-101 ICND1, and 200-101 ICND2. This course provides a structured learning path that covers the key routing, switching, and networking concepts required for certification success. Each hands-on level is designed so learners can follow the material step by step while actively working with the technologies being discussed. Instead of only learning theory, students gain practical exposure by engaging with real networking concepts, configurations, and scenarios that help build confidence and technical understanding. Throughout the course, learners will study important exam topics while also developing the practical skills needed to work with Cisco networking environments. The training helps strengthen both conceptual knowledge and hands-on experience, making it useful for certification preparation as well as real-world networking practice. This course is suitable for students who are completely new to networking, as well as professionals who already have networking experience and want to renew or refresh their CCNA certification knowledge. By the end of the course, learners will have a stronger foundation in routing and switching technologies and be better prepared for Cisco CCNA-level exams.

Course Instructor

Keith started his networking career as customer service representative at Cisco Systems in 1996. His desire to learn more soon led him to a position as a Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) engineer on the “Dial-Access” team, and within six months he had obtained his Dial-ISP CCIE. He later became a network consulting engineer and obtained his CCNA certification while teaching the technologies to Cisco employees during his lunch breaks. Keith was the first instructor on Cisco’s TAC Training team, where he taught a wide range of internetworking topics and later developed and taught other courses such as routing protocols, LAN switching, MPLS, 802.1x, and CCNA. After almost 17 years with Cisco, Keith joined a small startup and focused on 802.11 Wi-Fi technologies, during which time he obtained his CWNA certification. He is now very happy to be working as an instructor for Routing & Switching. Keith lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife, son, and daughter. When he is not teaching Bootcamps, Keith can be found at home with his family, reading, or working in the yard.
