MPLS for Network Engineers

MPLS for Network Engineers provides a practical introduction to Multiprotocol Label Switching and its role in enterprise and service provider network environments. The course helps learners understand why MPLS is used and how label-based forwarding improves scalability and traffic control in large networks. Learners explore key concepts such as label switching behavior, LDP deployment, protection mechanisms, monitoring techniques, and troubleshooting approaches. It also covers advanced topics including LDP synchronization, session protection, TTL handling, intra-AS and inter-AS Layer 3 VPN designs, and point-to-point Layer 2 VPN fundamentals. The course is designed for engineers who want to understand how MPLS enables scalable transport, VPN services, and consistent forwarding behavior across complex routed network infrastructures.
