Securing the Spanning-Tree
A majority of Layer-2 switched networks implement some version of the Spanning-Tree protocol. However, Spanning-Tree protocols are unprotected and vulnerable to unwanted topology changes and malicious attacks. This course is designed to teach you about four security-related protocols to mitigate the threat of most Spanning-Tree vulnerabilities. In this course you’ll learn about Root Guard, BPDU Guard, BPDU Filter, and Loop Guard, the problems they were designed to solve, how they operate, and the commands necessary to implement them. Each of these features will also be demonstrated in a lab environment.
