Traffic Control with Wi-Fi QoS
In this course, you will learn about why Wi-Fi QoS is needed and the benefits you can gain from it. Starting with a detailed explanation of the historical DCF process (Distributed Coordination Function) you will learn how EDCA (Enhanced Distributed Channel Access) was introduced in 2016 bringing Wi-Fi QoS to the 802.11 standard. You will learn about how EDCA/WMM works to classify and prioritize data access as well as how it modified the 802.11 Contention Windows and Inter-Frame spaces. You will also gain exposure and experience with configuring various Wi-Fi features such as Rate-Limiting, DSCP marking, AVC, and AutoQoS on Cisco AireOS and 9800 Wireless LAN Controllers.
