Understanding and Implementing MPLS, Traffic Engineering and Segment Routing explores the key technologies used to control packet forwarding paths and enhance resiliency in service provider networks. It introduces foundational mechanisms such as LDP and RSVP-TE, along with modern segment routing approaches, including different segment types and their role in traffic steering. Learners also study advanced concepts like unified MPLS, LDP synchronization, session protection, fast reroute mechanisms, IS-IS and OSPF extensions, and TI-LFA for rapid failure recovery. The course explains how these technologies work together to enable efficient traffic engineering, improved network protection, and highly scalable transport architectures. It is designed for CCNP SPCOR candidates and network engineers who want a deeper, operational understanding of MPLS ecosystems and segment routing behavior in real-world service provider environments.

Rohit currently holds 5xCCIE’s (Routing Switching, Service Provider, Security, Voice and Collaboration). When not teaching or developing new products, Rohit consults with large ISPs and enterprise customers in India and UK. Rohit is currently pursuing his CCIE Data Center certification.
