Understanding DHCP, DNS & NTP Services
Virtually every network in existence is an IP-based network, and to utilize that network, devices need IP addresses and other critical IP-based information. This information is typically obtained in a dynamic nature via the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). This course will introduce you to DHCP, its operation, and how to verify its functionality on client devices. You’ll also be given an overview of the Domain Name Service (DNS) which is critical for allowing web browsing as well as the Network Time Protocol which is used to synchronize time-and-date information between network devices and servers.
